Appearance and color: The appearance of floor paint curing agent can be transparent, slightly yellow, brown and other liquids. The difference in appearance is mainly determined by the composition and manufacturing process of the curing agent. The color of the curing agent also has some influence on the final color of the floor paint, especially for some places with high color requirements, it is necessary to choose the curing agent with pure color to ensure the uniformity and beauty of the color of the floor paint.

Density: Density is a basic physical property of curing agent, usually between 0.8 – 1.2g/cm³. The size of the density has a certain influence on the determination of the amount of hardener and its performance after mixing with the floor paint resin. When preparing the floor paint, the density of the curing agent can accurately calculate the required mass to ensure that the curing agent is mixed with the resin in the correct proportion.

Viscosity: Viscosity reflects the fluidity of the curing agent of the floor paint, the unit is mPa・S. Viscosity has a wide range, from a few mPa・S to tens of thousands of mPa・S. Low viscosity curing agent has good fluidity, easy to mix evenly with the floor paint resin, and can better penetrate into the ground base during the construction process, so as to improve the adhesion between the floor paint and the base. Higher viscosity curing agents may require higher temperatures or the use of diluents to improve their fluidity for easier application.

Floor paint curing agent is a kind of chemical substance that can have a chemical reaction with the resin in the floor paint (such as epoxy resin, polyurethane resin, etc.), so that the floor paint can be changed from liquid state to solid state. It plays a vital role in the floor paint system, like a “key” to unlock the curing process of the floor paint. The cured floor paint forms a three-dimensional mesh structure, and the hardness, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance and other properties are significantly improved, so as to meet the requirements of different places on the use of flooring. For example, in the factory floor, the cured floor paint can withstand the frequent crushing of forklifts and other heavy equipment, as well as the erosion of chemical substances in the production process.
